Description
This is the “official” version of the 3DR Solo Accessory Bay Breakout board, designed by ProfiCNC, and referenced by the official 3DR Solo documentation. The design is open-source (files are on GitHub, along with the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported (CC BY-SA 3.0) license that cover them). (We are neither affiliated with or endorsed by ProfiCNC or 3DR). We are assembling and selling these boards after receiving requests to do so.
The breakout board connects to the 3DR Solo Accessory Bay connector and breaks out all connections (even the non-factory-connected ones). The board’s micro-USB port allows connection to the iMX.6 companion computer inside the Solo.
The important bits of the board (Clik-Mate, USB, and the actual Solo mating connectors, as well as the Zener diode) always come pre-assembled, and mounting screws are also included. Available options are:
- Headers (none, kit, or pre-installed)
- Header gender (male/female)
The board pinout follows the table found here.
3DR manufactured the Solo with internal mainboard pins 14-23 not connected to the accessory bay. Note that if you do not correctly wire the remaining internal mainboard pins to the accessory board inside your Solo, the pin names/descriptions will be incorrect! If you’re a visual learner, see the picture in the following tutorial for the signal names on the internal pins. Click here for a tutorial for connecting the internal pins.
